Hey business owners!! Have you received your Employee Retention Tax Credit yet... or Self Employed Tax Credit yet??

It's still available to you. The deadline to file for the 2020 credit is coming up on April 15!! The deadline to file for the 2021 credit is April 15, 2025.

However, there is a bill floating around in Congress that the program could end sooner. This money was set aside for you if you worked through 2020-2021 or kept employees working during that time.

Many individuals think they have a great insurance plan. It might cover many things, but your insurance is going to pay the doctor, the hospital, or the clinic and you still will have a portion to pay yourself. (high deductible maybe or copays)

If you are a business owner and had 2+ W2 employees in 2020 & 2021 during covid, you can still potentially get a tax credit called Employee Retention Tax Credit. AND if you were self-employed during that time, you can still potentially get what's called Self Employed Tax Credit... you have to qualify of course and it's up to the IRS in the end, but see if you qualify BECAUSE... There is a legislative draft out there proposing an early end to ERC as of Jan 31st.

These tax credits were set aside long ago for small businesses, and I am affiliated with a CPA firm that specializes in recovering these tax credits. Let me know if you'd like more information!
