Highland Commercial Mortgage is proud to announce the successful closing and groundbreaking of Fairfield Avenue Apartments, a 264-unit multifamily community in St. Petersburg, Florida, financed through a $64 million HUD 221(d)(4) loan.

This transformative development reflects the power of public-private partnership, with additional construction financing provided by the City of St. Petersburg and Pinellas County. Together, we are helping expand access to high-quality, attainable housing in a growing and vibrant community.

Fairfield Avenue Apartments will deliver meaningful affordability, with 20% of units restricted to 50% of Area Median Income (AMI), 25% restricted to 80% AMI, and the remaining 55% restricted to 120% AMI—supporting workforce housing and long-term housing stability.

The community will feature a full amenity package, including a clubhouse with on-site management, business center, mail and parcel facilities, swimming pool and more.

We are honored to help bring this important project to life and remain committed to financing developments that strengthen communities and expand housing opportunities.
