IA has an award-winning Education Department that hosts a full calendar of educational courses throughout the state. The AIIA education classes are not limited to AIIA members or independent agents, but are available to all insurance professionals who are in need of any level of education. The AIIA also strives to maintain a vigilant lobbying and public relations effort on behalf of the independent insurance agent. This is done through dedicated lobbyist representaion during each session of the Alabama Legislature, as well as maintenance of an active political action committee.
