I’m proud to work for a company who cares about the wellbeing of its customers. How often do you see a company offer to suspend payments and continue to provide their services in the meantime? To be honest, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen that outside of government mandated requirements. On top of that, we offer discounts for government employees. We understand Alfa® customers are among those impacted by the federal government shutdown.
To ensure your insurance coverage is not interrupted during this time, we are offering to temporarily suspend policy cancellations due to non-payment of premium and waive late fees for affected customers.
Hardship requests are being reviewed based on individual circumstances for federal employees who are furloughed or working without pay and whose policies were in force on the date of the shutdown (Oct. 1). Those facing financial difficulty should contact their local Alfa service center or our Customer Resource Center at 1-800-964-2532.
