There are a lot of myths about life insurance floating around out there. According to the Life Insurance Statistics, Data and Industry Trends 2024 report published by Forbes, 52% of Americans say they don’t have life insurance because they believe it’s too expensive. In fact, 82% of people surveyed overestimate the cost of a life insurance policy, with a majority of people incorrectly estimating the cost of life insurance to be 3x as high as it actually is.

Unfortunately, every season is storm-season now. If you’re a contractor, be sure you’re prepared for the next storm by following this checklist:

- Secure your tools and any work vehicles
- Stock up on any needed essentials like generators, pumps, fittings, breakers
- Document everything!
- Check your insurance coverage and then make any needed updates
- Have a response plan in place to deal with any losses

Hello everyone! Cynthia Dunn Agency is moving to my forever home!

I’m in the process of moving to 2020 Old Springville Road, Center Point, Alabama, 35215.

This has not been an easy process…it’s been one hurdle after another, but I think we’re near the end of the tunnel.

Setback #1: the roof started leaking. It was like a waterfall! The owner filed a claim and a new roof was added.

Setback #2: Alabama Power will not turn on the electricity until the building has passed an inspection. This is because anytime a building hasn’t had power on in more than six months, they need to make sure there are no code violations.

Setback #3: I had to have an electrician come out to check before the inspector comes out. You have to pay for the permit before any work is done.

Setback #4: the building needs a great deal of corrections! Improper wiring, no GFCI outlets where they need to be. Wiring that needs to be capped off. Floor wiring with no covers. Wiring not secured on the outside. Outside breaker box has holes that need sealing and a cover. Etc…Got the invoice from the electrician and about passed out.

However, I found someone whom God touched his heart and he’s charging me a fraction of what the electrician quoted. He and I went shopping at Home Depot today to buy the materials He and his partner have been working on correcting the issues today; they will finish up on tomorrow

I have been learning how to install LVP flooring. It’s not as easy as it looks. Here are some photos. I will wait until the contractors are done before I finish.

To my customers who have been looking for me, this is why I haven’t been as attentive. Forgive me. I’m trying to get the office up and open so that you can come sit down and we can discuss your business.
