It’s the spookiest time of the year again! 💀

In the spirit of spooky season, we wanted to share a few helpful tips to keep you and your family stay safe and worry-free this Halloween:

🎃 Carry flashlights or wear reflective costumes to ensure you’re easily seen by passing cars, and encourage children to look before walking on the road.

🎃 Help your child choose costumes that fit well and don’t obstruct vision or movement. A great costume can still be safe!

🎃 Be extra careful when crossing the street. Drinking and driving is, unfortunately, very common on Halloween. Take extra care while traveling or trick-or-treating.

🎃 Carefully inspect candy before indulging in late-night treats. In particular, look for signs of tampering, including discoloration/unusual appearance and tiny holes or tears in the wrapping.

🎃 If your furry friends join in on the Halloween fun, make sure all dogs are on a leash or securely indoors to avoid escape or accidents.

Let us know in the comments what YOU are dressing up for this Halloween! 🦇👻

Did you know one in eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime? And even more will know or love someone fighting this destructive disease.

That’s why, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we want to raise awareness about this form of cancer. Take a look at a few key facts below:

💝 One in eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime.

💝 The average age of diagnosis is 62, but breast cancer can occur at any age.

💝 Early detection is key to survival. When breast cancer is caught before it has spread to other areas of the body, the five-year relative survival rate is 99%.

💝 As such, it's important to talk to your doctor about any risk factors and get regular mammograms once it’s recommended you do so.

💝The United States Preventive Services Task Force recommends women ages 50-74 with an average risk receive a mammogram every two years. Women ages 40 to 49 should talk with their doctor to determine when to start and frequency.

💝 There are many effective treatments for breast cancer, and the survival rate has been steadily increasing in recent years.

Share this post to raise awareness about breast cancer, and remember to talk to your friends and family about the disease and encourage them to get screened.

Happy National Neighbor Day! 🌼🏡

Today, we recognize the importance of fostering a sense of community, extending a helping hand, and building lasting friendships right at our doorstep 🤝

Whether it's sharing laughs over a backyard barbecue, lending a hand during a time of need, or simply exchanging friendly waves and warm greetings, these small gestures create a sense of belonging 🙌🏽

Remember, strong communities are built on the foundation of caring neighbors. Let's embrace the spirit of National Neighbor Day and make a positive difference in the lives of those who live nearby.

Tag your neighbors to let them know how much you appreciate them! 💕

Summer equals plenty of fun in the sun, but it’s important to take care of yourself while you’re out and about in the heat ☀️ That’s why we’re sharing a few basic safety tips to keep in mind:

😎 Stay hydrated. Adults should drink about 48-64 ounces a day, but you should drink even more if you’re out in the sun doing any kind of physical activity.

😎 Slather on the sunscreen. Sunscreen not only protect against everyday skin damage, it also helps protect you from skin cancer.

😎 Stay aware. If you’re vacationing at the beach, refresh your knowledge of how to handle two common issues: rip currents and jellyfish stings.

😎 Study up. Make sure you can spot the signs of heat exhaustion, which include dizziness, fatigue, nausea, confusion, and more.

Any tips we missed that you think people should know? Share them with us in the comments below! Have a happy and safe summer, everyone 💛
