Currently doing the best acting job I’ve done in a while. No sleep last night, back hurts, stuffy nose, headache, and I’m at work smiling and dialing. No one really cares so this is my one and only complaint. Back to work. 😂

Good morning FB peeps!!

As I have been a broker now for a few years, I have a question for my people looking to refinance or purchase a home, why would you choose a retail lender over a broker? I know that the marketing is significantly different because some major retail lenders are all over TV but outside of that, what’s the reason?

I ask this because I work with some major lenders on the wholesale side and our mortgage pricing is quite a bit less. The loan would still be processed through the major lender just not directly.

I have spent 17 years in the mortgage space and for 16 years I was in the retail portion of the business. Since joining Next Door Lending, I have been able to receive education on loans that I thought were not possible and I also have been able to offer lower mortgage rates, and in most cases that has been by .500%-.750% which can save a person quite a bit of cash monthly and over the life of the loan.

The seasons are changing, leaves are falling and pretty soon, Spouses, kids, family members and friends will want gifts for the holidays. Many, in snowy states, will begin in-home projects as they begin to stay home more and prep their homes for the new look in Spring.

For projects and gifts, you need money and while many of us want to stay liquid, we also want to spend money. Now how do we do that????

Many would say, I have a good rate and I am not refinancing and giving that up...well, no problem, you don't have to.

With a HELOC (home equity line of credit) you can gain access to all of the equity(up to 90%) that you have put into your home over the years and work on those home improvements and buy all of those gifts while staying liquid.
