Each month, we introduce one of the people behind Rousseau. This month, meet Gina Boudreau, a Personal & Commercial Lines Producer on our team.

Gina joined Rousseau in 2017 and works with individuals, families, and businesses on their insurance needs. From home and auto to business and life insurance, she helps clients review their options and find coverage that reflects their circumstances. Working across multiple lines of insurance allows her to look at how different policies fit together and help clients consider their coverage as a whole.

With strong ties to the Biddeford community, Gina is part of the local team helping Rousseau serve the people and businesses in our area.

Trick-or-treaters can mean more visitors walking through your yard in one evening than almost any other night of the year. A loose step, an extension cord across the walkway, or a dog that is not used to a steady stream of costumed kids can create liability concerns quickly.

This October, we are celebrating some work anniversaries at Rousseau Insurance. Deb Waldron marks four years with the agency, and Melissa McKennon marks three. Both serve as Personal Lines Account Managers, working with individuals and families on coverage for their homes, vehicles, and other personal insurance needs.

We are also marking twenty-three years since Matt Rousseau, one of our two third-generation principals and VP of Personal Lines, formally joined the agency. As family, he has been part of Rousseau for far longer than any work anniversary can capture, and today he continues to help carry forward the family business his grandparents started.

We are grateful for another year with Deb, Melissa, and Matt. Congratulations to all three!

If you've called our office lately, there's a good chance Shannon Hussey picked up. Shannon joined our receptionist team in August, and she's who you'll find at the front desk, making sure your call or visit gets to the right person.

Outside the office, Shannon keeps bees and fills the rest of her time with pottery, quilting, crochet, and her garden. She's a morning person who takes her coffee black, so the early calls are in good hands.

Congratulations to Owen W., winner of our client appreciation giveaway. Owen and three guests spent the day at Dunegrass Golf Club as our foursome in the Biddeford S**o Chamber's 74th Annual Golf Tournament.

Thank you to everyone who entered and told us who they'd bring along. Reading your comments was a highlight, and sending one of our clients out for a day on the course was even better.

A nor'easter is moving up the coast this weekend, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and the chance of coastal flooding across Southern Maine. If you have a few minutes before it arrives, a quick walk around your property can make a real difference.

Bring in patio furniture and anything else the wind could carry, clear gutters and storm drains, and move vehicles away from large trees where you can. It also helps to take a few photos of your home and belongings now. If you end up filing a claim, those photos make the process much easier.

Stay safe this weekend, Southern Maine.
