AI is changing financial advice—and we think that creates a real opportunity for our clients.

Technology can increasingly handle some of the mechanical work that happens behind the scenes: organizing information, analyzing data, comparing scenarios, preparing for meetings and helping with follow-up.

That allows us to spend more time where we believe an advisor adds the most value: **interpreting the analysis, exercising judgment, communicating clearly and helping clients make important decisions with confidence.**

At U.S. Advisory Group, we're already incorporating AI into the way we work. The goal isn't technology for technology's sake. It's better preparation, more thorough analysis, clearer communication and a better overall experience for the families we serve.

Because as the cost of analysis comes down, we believe the value of thoughtful human judgment goes up.

We wrote more about how we're approaching AI and the future of financial advice in our latest Insights piece:

**As the Cost of Analysis Comes Down, the Value of Judgment Goes Up**

Heading to Huntington Beach next week for Future Proof. Looking forward to a few days of fresh ideas, good conversations, and time with others across the wealth management industry.

The goal is simple: come back with useful perspective, practical ideas, and a better sense of what’s next for clients and our business.

If you’ll be there, let me know.

A significant gain can create a significant tax bill — but the outcome may depend heavily on what happens before the transaction closes.

For business owners, real estate owners, and investors with highly appreciated assets, planning may create opportunities to:
defer when some gains are recognized
generate tax offsets while remaining invested
structure the timing of a sale more thoughtfully
coordinate the transaction with estate, charitable, income, and liquidity planning

The key is timing. Once an asset is sold, many of the most useful planning options may no longer be available.

If a meaningful sale or liquidity event may be on the horizon, it can be worth having the conversation early.

There’s a point when your parents’ finances start becoming part of your financial life, too.

Sometimes it happens gradually — a question about an account, help paying a bill, an old insurance policy, or a conversation about whether estate documents are still current.

Sometimes it happens all at once.

The goal isn’t for children to take over their parents’ finances. It’s to make sure the family isn’t starting from zero when help is eventually needed.

Knowing the important contacts, where the major accounts and policies are held, whether documents are current, and who can step in can make a difficult situation much easier.

That’s one of the reasons we built the U.S. Advisory Group Family Continuity Review — to help families organize the people, information and decisions that matter before a stressful moment makes them urgent.

If this sounds familiar for your family — or your parents — it may be worth starting the conversation now.

Still constructive. Less forgiving.

The U.S. economy continues to grow, corporate earnings remain strong, and investment in areas like AI is substantial.

But inflation is still stubborn, the labor market has cooled, federal deficits remain unusually large, and markets are carrying high expectations.

Our outlook for the remainder of 2026 is constructive — just not complacent.

**One more item for the college checklist.**

Turning 18 is an important legal milestone—and one that can be easy to overlook in the rush to get ready for college.

Once a child is legally an adult, parents may no longer automatically have access to medical information or the authority to step in if something unexpected happens.

Before move-in day, families may want to discuss whether documents such as a **Health Care Proxy, HIPAA Authorization, and Power of Attorney** are appropriate.

And this isn’t only a reminder for parents. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other close family members are often part of helping a student get ready for this next chapter—and can help make sure the conversation happens.

A small amount of planning now can make things much easier if those documents are ever needed.

US Advisory Group can help clients and their families identify the planning questions to address and coordinate with qualified legal counsel as appropriate.
