The IRS just updated the ACA affordability percentage for 2027. 📋

10.22%, up from 9.96% in 2026.

Cutting benefits feels like savings. It rarely is. 📉

When healthcare costs rise, reducing benefits looks like the obvious fix. But those costs don't disappear. They shift to employees, and eventually make their way back to the organization through delayed care, higher claims, and lower productivity.

The better question isn't "what can we cut?" It's "why are costs rising in the first place?"

The EEOC's recent enforcement priorities are placing new scrutiny on hiring, promotions, leadership development, and ERGs. The goal isn't less inclusion. It's making sure decisions are objective, job-related, and consistently applied.
