🎃 A few tricks for a safer Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Here are a few reminders to keep the night fun and accident-free:

👻 Stick together. Keep your trick-or-treat crew together, make sure kids have adult supervision, and agree on a meeting spot just in case someone gets separated.

🔦 Be seen. Add reflective tape or glow sticks to costumes, carry flashlights, and use sidewalks and crosswalks whenever possible.

🏡 Light the way. Clear walkways, move hoses and decorations out of the way, and make sure your porch and steps are well lit for trick-or-treaters.

🐕 Keep pets secure. Frequent doorbell rings and visitors in costumes can make pets anxious. Give them a safe, quiet place for the evening.

🕯️ Watch the decorations. Keep candles and open flames away from costumes, and opt for battery-operated lights in pumpkins.

This is your sign to explore a different corner of Northwest Arkansas this fall!

Even if you've lived here for years, there's probably one city you haven't explored quite enough. So we put together a fall day-trip guide covering Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale, Fayetteville, and Bella Vista, with local restaurants, outdoor adventures, and a few ideas for making a whole day of it.

Here are five ways to spend a fall day close to home:

1. Bentonville: Art, bikes & coffee

Wander the trails at Crystal Bridges (admission is always free!), explore the downtown square, browse the shops at 8th Street Market, and grab a coffee at Airship or Onyx. Want to make it extra fun? Rent an e-bike and explore the connected trails.

2. Rogers: Lakeside strolls & a food adventure

Walk or bike around Lake Atalanta, let the kids loose on the playground, then head downtown for lunch. Try Lasang Pinoy NWA, a Filipino restaurant featured on the New York Times' 2026 restaurant list, or stop by The Rail for pizza. Finish with gelato or a Mexican pastry downtown!

3. Springdale: Ozark history & seriously good tacos

Explore the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History, grab tacos at Carnitas Los Cuatro Hermanos or Taquería Don Güero, and spend the afternoon at the Ozark Highlands Nature Center. For a memorable fall splurge, book a scenic ride on the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad.

4. Fayetteville: Gardens, bookstores & college-town charm

Walk the trails around Lake Fayetteville or visit the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks. Have lunch at underground burger favorite Hugo's, browse the downtown square and Dickson Street Bookshop, then head up Mount Sequoyah for sunset.

5. Bella Vista: Waterfalls & forest trails

Take a fall walk along Tanyard Creek Nature Trail, where you'll find wooded scenery and waterfalls. Then head to Blowing Springs Park for trails, a frozen treat at Crazy Willy's, or a relaxing afternoon at Gear Garden.

Your challenge: Pick the city you know the least and spend a day exploring it! You might find a new favorite restaurant, trail, or family tradition right in your own backyard.

Planning a home renovation? 🏠🔨

Before you start knocking down walls, give your agent a call.

A major renovation can change more than the look of your home. Adding square footage, remodeling a kitchen, finishing a basement, replacing a roof, building a deck, or adding a pool can affect your home's replacement cost and your insurance needs.

A few things to think about before the project starts:

• Does your dwelling coverage still make sense?
• Is your contractor properly licensed and insured?
• Are permits required?
• Will you be living somewhere else during construction?
• Will the finished project change your home's replacement cost?
• Are there new liability risks, like a pool or large deck?
