What a wonderful transaction to be a part of!

Dalton and Sophia had their hearts set on becoming first-time homeowners, and after a lot of hard work and determination, that dream is officially a reality. Moments like these are exactly why I love what I do.

I especially enjoy working with my "baby buyers"-and this one made me feel a little sentimental! At closing, Sophia mentioned that she went to elementary school with my youngest daughter, so while this closing may have made me feel a little older, it also made me incredibly proud to watch these two reach such an exciting milestone.

A huge thank you to Robby Schmidt with The Karen Hoell team and Joshua Hanson for helping guide this sweet couple into their beautiful new home. And, as always, thank you to Thaxton Title - Luke Thaxton and Debbie Taylor for coming through in a clutch and helping make for a smooth closing day.

Twenty-six years ago today, my dad passed away from a massive heart attack.

It’s hard to believe it’s been that long.

I followed in his footsteps into the mortgage business, and there are definitely days that make me understand exactly why he had one. 😂 He would have gotten a good laugh out of that.

I came across this picture today, sitting at his desk, working in the mortgage world he loved. Every time I look at it, I’m struck by how young he was. Back then, he was just building a career and taking care of his family, probably with no idea how much of an impact he would have on all of us.

There are so many things I wish I could tell him. I wish he could see his children, his grandchildren, and all the paths our lives have taken. I wish he could see me following the trail he blazed all those years ago. And I wish he could see the little mortgage company carrying on a tradition that started with him.

Some days the years feel long. Other days it feels like yesterday.

Miss you, Dad. More than words can say.

Congratulations to one of Bossier City's newest veterinarians!

It has been such a pleasure getting to know her throughout the homebuying process. Not only is she incredibly dedicated and hardworking, but she is also one of the sweetest and most caring people you could ever meet.
