This has been on my heart🤍

I’ve made choices these past months, not only to protect what’s best for my son, but to protect the part of me he depends on. To give him my best, I had to learn to honor myself. That wisdom came with time, lessons, and the grit of single motherhood.

There’s a quiet power no one prepares you for.
It’s holding your child close while holding yourself together.
It’s standing tall when inside feels unsure.
It’s waking up, not because you’re unbreakable, but because their little eyes need to see that love doesn’t quit.

Parenting alone is a rare kind of warriorhood.
It isn’t just guiding a small soul, it’s rebuilding the one inside you as well.
It’s staying soft through grief, steady through storms, generous even when you feel spent.
It’s walking through fire with someone fragile in your arms, and still finding the calm to soothe their soul.

People call it strength. I never longed to be strong; I longed for ease, for a softer road. But when ease doesn’t come, you rise anyway.

I’ve cried in silence, doubted myself, felt guilt, loneliness, exhaustion. But I’ve protected him from the weight of it all, because he deserves the light.
