We had the opportunity to present our $7,500 sponsorship donation to the new Bemidji Symphony Orchestra Executive Director, Mattea Elhard, along with Katey Lutz today while the symphony performed for our 55 Connection 35th Anniversary in the First National Bank Bemidji Garden Court! Pictured with Mattea and Katey is Mya Eichstadt, who is the new 55 Connection director.

Supporting the arts in our community is incredibly important to First National Bank Bemidji, and having a symphony enriches our cultural landscape in amazing ways.

What better way to celebrate than with great music, sweet treats, and even sweeter company?! Our 55 Connection members gathered for an afternoon of ice cream, socializing, and live entertainment from the amazing Bemidji Symphony Orchestra. 🎶🍨

There were smiles, plenty of laughs, and even some lucky winners who took home tickets to see the symphony! It was a wonderful celebration of 35 years of friendship, fun, and connection. 💙

First National Bank Bemidji employees continue to make a difference in the community through the bank’s Casual for a Cause program. During the second quarter of 2026, staff donated $425 in April to Let’s Unify for the Y, $450 in May to the Headwaters Science Center, and $375 in June to the First National Bank Bemidji Employee Bike Fund. The Employee Bike Fund helps purchase bicycles, scooters, and skateboards that are distributed to local children through the Holiday Gifts for Kids program. By simply dressing casually on designated days, employees can support meaningful organizations and causes that strengthen the community.

📱 You glance at your phone and are startled to see a text message warning you about suspicious activity involving your bank account. Luckily, the message includes a phone number you can call to confirm. The person who answers says they work for your bank and need to check a few things with you. Unusually, they ask you to switch the phone call to use Apple's FaceTime app instead. After you make the switch, they ask you to share your screen and log in to your bank account so they can review the suspicious activity with you.

‼️ But the person you’re speaking with is actually a cybercriminal! If you share your screen while using FaceTime, they can see everything on your screen while you log in to your bank account. This means they can easily see your login information, account numbers, and even any security codes that your bank might send you. With this information, the cybercriminal will have everything they need to steal your money!

Follow these tips to avoid falling victim to this scam:
➡️If you get a surprise call or text about your bank account, hang up. Call your bank directly using their official contact information. Don't use any number from the text message.
➡️Never share your screen with someone who calls or texts you without warning, especially if they ask to see your bank account.
➡️Be cautious if you receive unusual instructions, such as someone from your bank asking you to use the FaceTime app. Cybercriminals frequently try to trick you into revealing personal information this way.

So excited to celebrate this closing! 🏡❤️

This home truly felt like it was meant to be. It checked all the boxes with a cozy gas fireplace and a beautiful backyard. Then there was one little detail that made it feel even more special. There were bird decals on the door, and since she loves birds, it felt like the perfect sign that this was the one.

Congratulations on your new home! It was such a joy helping you find the perfect place. A big thank you to Jodi at First National Bank Bemidji and Sathre Title Inc. for helping make it all happen! 🎉
