Happy Birthday, Amanda.
Today we recognize the visionary behind Amanda Thompson State Farm, the person who turned a hard idea into two working offices that employ people, serve families, and show up for Roebuck and Belton, day after day. She didn’t wait for perfect conditions. She made a plan, accepted the risk, and executed. The result is simple to see and hard to copy. Two locations. A steady team. Thousands of decisions made and a follow-through. 
Leadership isn’t a mood. It is standards, systems, and showing up when it would be easier not to. Amanda sets the bar high, not to make things difficult, but because she believes people can meet it. That belief has paid off for insureds who need reliability, for staff who want a place to grow, and for the communities that benefit when a local business keeps its promises.
Fun fact for South Carolina: women own roughly 46 percent of businesses statewide when you include equal and majority ownership. That is not theory, it is a measurable shift in who builds the economy. Amanda is part of that number, and her work reminds us that progress looks like doors opened, paychecks earned, and customers protected.
