BIG NEWS: The John Carr Insurance Agency has just picked up AIC (Agency Insurance Company of Maryland) for auto insurance!! AIC is a large, regional carrier that is very selective in what agencies it partners with. We've applied several times over the years and have just been accepted.

Everyone hates flood insurance. "It has never flooded here!" and "That little creek will never be a problem" and so on.... And I kinda get it. But I also get the attached picture. One of my customers with a house in Somerset. That neighborhood has never flooded, as far back as anyone can remember.

He's glad he has flood insurance.

Liability coverage is the most important part of any policy. This is what covers you if you cause property damage and/or bodily injury. It's what keep the personal injury lawyers from taking everything you own.

Liability coverage is usually not very expensive, so make sure it's as high as you can go on your auto, homeowners, and business policy (if you're a business owner)!

If you're wondering if you're the only one with crazy insurance premiums: I just bought a used SUV and added it to my insurance. HOLY CRAP!!!! Really??? Does it really cost that much to insure a 15 year-old SUV?
