Over the past few weeks our team has been volunteering alongside other credit unions to celebrate International Credit Union Day (10/15) and showcase the power of credit unions working together. Our staff receive 5 hours of paid volunteer hours a quarter, and they put them to good use by volunteering at the Bellingham Food Bank and Bite of Reality 💪🏽 ✨

Last week some of our staff traveled to Denver for the GoWest Credit Union Association MAXX conference. 🏔️

A few highlights included hearing from:
🏔️Governor Jared Polis, Governer of Colorado (Governor Jared Polis)
✅ John Crews, newly appointed Chairman of the NCUA board
🧡 Kim Scott, author of Radical Candor Kim Malone Scott
✨Thomas Boucher, one of our very own, who took the session stage to talk about the Small Business Resiliency Loan Program.

They came back excited about everything happening in the credit union movement and ready to put all they learned into action. ✨

More fun summer adventures! ☀️🎶

We had a blast being the title sponsor for the Maxxed Out BBQ benefiting Max Higbee Center at Hardware Sales. The rain didn’t stop us from having fun or from being a little silly! ☔️😂

We also sponsored the Skagit Valley Chamber of Commerce Riverwalk Concert Series, where we got to enjoy some good tunes from Baby Cakes. 🎶

We’re so thankful for the incredible communities in both Whatcom and Skagit counties that continue to put on fun, welcoming events for everyone to enjoy. 💙
