One of the biggest things I’ve learned in real estate, especially at the luxury level, is that trust, discretion, and reputation matter more than people realize.
I once represented a buyer for a $25M home, and before even allowing the showing, the listing side wanted extensive background information, financial details, and a full profile on the buyer. The challenge? My client valued privacy and did not want to disclose personal information.
In situations like this, your reputation as an agent becomes everything.
Sometimes, clients are not just hiring you to open doors. They are trusting you to protect their interests, advocate for them professionally, and navigate sensitive situations with credibility and discretion.
Whether it’s a first home or a luxury property, I believe real estate is still very much a relationship business.
The right strategy matters. Experience matters. But trust matters most.
