The Federal Reserve cut its short-term interest rate target by 25 basis points on Wednesday, December 10. That’s the third consecutive FOMC meeting resulting in a quarter-point cut. The target range for overnight lending in the fed funds market is now 3.75% to 3.50%, its lowest level in three years. The next FOMC meeting is scheduled for January 27-28.

As a loan officer, I have the privilege of helping families secure their homes. But when I’m not working on loans, I’m proud to serve my community in another way — as a volunteer firefighter/EMT.

It’s a little-known part of my life, but one that means the world to me. I’ve seen firsthand the courage, sacrifice, and heart our first responders bring to every call.

Whether it’s a house fire, a medical emergency, or simply being there when someone needs help — these men and women show up without hesitation.
I’m deeply grateful to stand beside them, and even more honored to support them in any way I can. To all our responders: thank you for your service, your strength, and your unwavering commitment to keeping us safe.
