Today marks my 2-year anniversary working full-time with New York Life. Joe Pendergraft, Licensed Agent with New York Life
What started as an interest in finance, markets, and entrepreneurship has turned into something far more meaningful than I expected. This career has been incredibly rewarding—so much so that it rarely feels like “work.”
Along the way, I’ve learned that it’s not just about financial strategies or products—it’s about people. Their goals, their families, their businesses, and the lives they’re working hard to build.
Even today, my schedule reflects that variety—conversations around long-term care, term insurance, rollovers, and buy-sell planning. But what stands out most isn’t the diversity of strategies—it’s the opportunity to truly understand each client’s vision and help them move closer to it.
The past two years have been a fast-paced learning experience—like drinking from a firehose with training, licensing, and growth. And there’s more ahead in year three.
For now, I’m grateful—for the trust, the conversations, and the opportunity to serve.
Looking forward to another year of helping people build, protect, and enjoy what matters most.
