I was out of the office all of last week on back-to-back conferences in the desert of Arizona. It was a blessing to be around my fellow Knights of Columbus Field Agents and other fraternal leaders at NAFIC’s Fraternal Financial Leaders Conference.

From conversation directly for the Order to hearing some top speakers in the industry, I have pages and pages of notes that I brought back with me to Illinois to best serve my members.

I am also plotting out a new schedule that will best serve me, making sure I block time for the gym and for personal development, reading, and continuing education. Being a “Fraternal Financial Leader” is only one part of who I am. I am also a father of three strong-willed boys who are being raised to become three young men ready to face the world head-on, with faith and with confidence.

Being the best version of myself (unlocking my potential) will help them be the best versions of themselves, able to navigate an ever-changing world.

Many thanks to Joseph Monestere, RICP®, FICF for our regular “ussie,” as well as Joe Jordan for a fantastic presentation on a life of significance, for Jim Effner’s words of wisdom, and for Dave Resseguie’s testimony and energy.

I’m pumped for Q4 2026 and many more years.

Today the Church celebrates the feast of Blessed Michael McGivney.
