As we embark upon this Holiday Season please check on your family, friends, and neighbors. For this to be the season of Joy and Happiness some battle with Grief and Depression. This maybe the first holiday, the first year, or maybe even the 10th year without their loved ones or dealing with depression.
Some people you know are still grieving and there are those that grieve silently and act strong. We need to pray for and with them so that they are reminded that they are loved and not alone.
We also have loved ones, friends and neighbors that are dealing with depression openly and some silently. This season adds additional strain upon them because it's the season of giving. Some will either over give or don't have to give which causes financial strain or added pressure. This mentally don't help whatever is ailing them. We have to pray with and for them including their families during this time.
I ask that we STOP assuming because someone post something on social media their craving attention. They just maybe calling out for help and support. Sometimes we go through things and we keep it to ourselves until we can't handle it anymore. And for those on the outside looking in it seems like dang they always have it together. But you don't know and can't even begin to understand the years that people battle with things before it comes to a head. So when they reach out lend a supportive hand, a word of encouragement, financial aid and sometimes just a listening ear.
Be a blessing everyday but especially during this Holiday Season!!!
