Why is it Important to Have a Will ?

Think of a will as your ultimate rulebook. If you do not write it, the government steps in and makes all the decisions for you.They will decide who gets your money, your house, and even your favorite sentimental items.

If you have minor children, a will becomes absolutely critical. Without one, a judge—who does not know your family—will choose who raises your kids if something happens to you. By writing a will, you lock in the exact person you trust to step up as their guardian. It also lets you protect their inheritance, making sure your money goes toward their future, school, and care, rather than getting tied up in messy court battles. It is truly the best way to give your family peace of mind.

With the start of school and summer quickly coming to an end, try one or two of these ideas to have some fun with your family and friends.

Host an outdoor movie night - hang a white sheet, use a projector or laptop, and bring out cozy blankets to curl up on. Better yet, if you have pool, make it a pool movie night!

Too hot outside for you or you don't have a pool? Pull out the sleeping bags and toss them on the floor of the living room with popcorn or other treats.

Take a sunset picnic - Pack simple snacks and watch the sun go down at a local park, a nearby lake or your own backyard.

Ice cream for dinner: Skip the regular meal rules once and treat everyone to sweet treats. An ice cream bar is always fun! Have a variety of flavors of ice cream, chocolate and caramel toppings, sprinkles, cherries, strawberries, whipped cream, and bananas for a split.

Get in touch with your creative side. Use large pieces of paper and bring out the markers or crayons or even paint! Create a summer scene or draw a layout of a town just the way you would like for it to look. Did you know that backside of wrapping paper works great for this!
