Unfortunately the time has come for us to close our CURRENT doors!

The space no longer is adequate for our needs! So although we are closing these doors we WILL reopen at a different location on July 1st!

Here’s where we need your help! We have to get rid of so much stuff so we can have brand new stuff for the brand new place and don’t have to move old inventory PLUS the new!

Starting this week (squishies NOT included) we will have 40% off of everything in the store plus we will have a $5 rack! Please come see us!

Also interact with this post! Like, comment, share, tag a friend who would love a sale! We will pick one person to receive a $50 credit to the NEW location! So share, share, share!

We are very excited for our new location and new opportunities and we have all of you to thank for our successes.

πŸ“¬ Did your Medicare Supplement premium just go up? You’re definitely not alone.

We’re hearing from more and more people who are opening their mail and finding rate increase notices from their Medicare Supplement company. In fact, our phones are ringing off the hook!

The good news? An increase doesn’t always mean you’re stuck.

Depending on your situation, there may be other options available that could better fit your budget and coverage needs.

Before you simply accept a higher premium, it may be worth having a conversation.

A quick review could help you understand:
βœ” What changed
βœ” Why your rate increased
βœ” Whether other options may be available

If you’ve received a rate increase notice, give us a call. We’re happy to review your situation and help you understand your options.

Medicare has a lot of moving parts. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

Part A. Part B. Part C. Part D. Supplements. Advantage plans. Enrollment windows that matter more than most people realize.

I'm not saying this to overwhelm you. I'm saying it because most people come to me AFTER they've already made a decision they didn't fully understand. I want better than that for you.

My job isn't to make you feel like you need me... It's to sit down with you before you turn 65 and make sure you actually know what you're walking into. What things cost. What's covered and what isn't. And what happens if you wait too long to decide.

You're smart enough to figure this out on your own. I just don't think you should have to.

That's what I'm here for. If you're turning 65 in the next year and want to actually understand your options before you have to choose, drop MOMENTS in the comments and I'll send you a free guide that breaks it all down in plain language.

I want to say something that doesn't get said enough in this industry. ‡

There is no version of needing health coverage that you should feel embarrassed about.

Not the version where your income dropped and you need help bridging a gap. Not the version where you're self employed and the math just doesn't work for a private plan right now. Not the version where life threw something at you that you didn't see coming and Medicaid is what makes sense in this season.

None of those versions make you less than. They make you human.

I have sat across from people who almost didn't call me because they were embarrassed to ask about their options. People who went without coverage for months because they assumed the conversation would feel uncomfortable or judgmental.

That is never what this looks like with me.

My job is simple. I look at your situation. All of it. Without judgment and without an agenda. And I help you find coverage that actually works for your life right now, not the life someone else thinks you should have.

If you've been putting off asking about your options because you weren't sure how that conversation would go, now you know.

We are The Kidd Team, serving Rockbridge & Bedford County area.

DM me OPTIONS and let's talk.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and I want to use this space to say something I genuinely mean.

Mental health is health.

Not a weakness. Not something to push through alone. Not something to be embarrassed about or explain away or save for a breaking point before you ask for help.

One in five adults in this country experiences a mental health condition in any given year. That means someone in your family. Someone on your team. Someone you passed in the grocery store this week. Someone reading this right now.

And a lot of those people are carrying it quietly because somewhere along the way they got the message that they should be able to handle it on their own.

You don't have to.

If you have been struggling, please talk to someone. A friend. A family member. A professional. Anyone who can help you carry it for a little while so you don't have to carry it alone.

If you have health coverage, check what mental health benefits are included. Therapy, counseling, and mental health support are covered under most plans in ways a lot of people don't realize until they look. If you're not sure what you have, that's a conversation I'm always happy to help with.

And if someone in your life has been quieter than usual lately, check on them. Not with a text. Actually check on them.

We take care of each other here.

Today is more than the start of summer.

It is the day we stop and remember the men and women who gave everything so that we could have the life we take for granted on ordinary Tuesdays.

The ones who left their families behind. The ones who never made it home. The ones whose names are on walls and headstones and in the memories of people who still feel the weight of that loss decades later.

Freedom is not abstract. It has faces. It has names. It has families who set a place at the table that never gets filled again.

If you have someone to remember today, take a moment to do that. Not just at the cookout or the parade but in a quiet moment where you can actually sit with what their sacrifice meant.

And if you come from a military family or you served yourself, thank you. Not just today but always.

From my family to yours, have a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

The offices are closed today.

Let me ask you something...

Do you know the difference between your deductible and your out of pocket maximum? Because they are not the same thing and confusing them is one of the most expensive mistakes people make with their health insurance.

Your deductible is what you pay before your insurance starts sharing costs. Your out of pocket maximum is the most you'll pay in a year before insurance covers 100%. But here's what trips people up β€” not everything counts toward both. Premiums don't count toward either. Some plans have separate deductibles for prescriptions. And coinsurance keeps applying after your deductible until you hit that out of pocket max.

Most people find this out when a bill shows up that doesn't make sense.

That's exactly the kind of thing I explain before it becomes a problem.

We are The Kidd Team and we work with individuals, families and seniors from Rockbridge County to Bedford County!
My job isn't to hand you a policy and wish you luck. It's to make sure you actually understand what you have, what it costs, and what happens when you need to use it.

You have insurance. You did the right thing. You signed up, you pay every month, and you figured that meant you were covered.

And then something happened and you ended up in the emergency room.

Here's what most people don't find out until they're sitting in a hospital bed looking at paperwork they don't fully understand.

Your deductible applies first. Until you hit that number, most of the bill is on you. And ER visits, even routine ones, can hit that deductible fast.

If the ER doctor who treated you is out of network, even inside an in-network hospital, you could get a separate bill for their services. This happens more than anyone talks about.

And if you get admitted? That's a different level of coverage kicking in with its own costs.

None of this means your plan is bad. It means understanding your plan before you need it is the whole game.

The people who aren't shocked by their ER bill are the ones who asked the questions before something went wrong.

Share this with someone who has health insurance but has never actually sat down and looked at what it covers. It might be the most useful thing they see today.
