June 6 is Visually Impaired People Day, and it’s a great reminder to take a closer look at how Medicare handles vision care.

Original Medicare focuses on medical needs, so it generally covers eye conditions that require diagnosis or treatment. Routine vision care isn’t typically included. However, many Medicare Advantage plans do offer coverage for routine eye exams and additional vision benefits.

“A summer activity that truly recharges me is being in the water. Growing up, I spent my summers tubing, skiing, kneeboarding, swimming, and white-water rafting. There’s just something about coming out of the water after a long swim that leaves me feeling refreshed, reenergized, and ready for whatever comes next.”

For Tim, summer has always been tied to the water and the memories that come with it. From adrenaline-filled days of tubing and skiing to simply taking a long swim on a warm day, being in the water is what helps him reset, recharge, and enjoy the season to the fullest.

There’s just something about a Wisconsin summer that feels incomplete without a lake day somewhere along the way. 😄

ATTENTION ILLINOIS & COLORADO MEDICARE ADVANTAGE MEMBERS

Clear Spring Health has officially exited the Medicare Advantage market effective May 31, 2026. This change impacts members in Illinois, Georgia, and Colorado who currently have a Clear Spring Health Medicare Advantage plan.

At Harvey Lewis Insurance Agency, we understand that changes to your healthcare coverage can feel stressful and confusing, but you do not have to navigate this transition alone.

Our team is available to help affected members review their Medicare options and find coverage that best fits their individual healthcare needs and budget.

While we unfortunately do not currently have a licensed agent available in Georgia, we are able to assist members in Illinois and Colorado:

• Harvey Lewis is licensed in Illinois

• Patrice Guerra is licensed in Colorado

Important Information for Affected Members

• A Special Election Period (SEP) is available from May 1, 2026, through July 31, 2026

• Members who are automatically enrolled into another plan may still choose a different plan during this SEP

• If a new plan is not selected by July 31, 2026, coverage will revert back to Original Medicare

⚾ A House Divided at American Family Field ⚾

This Wednesday, our team took some time away from the office and headed to Milwaukee for the Brewers vs. Cardinals game at American Family Field. Let’s just say there was definitely a mix of loyalties in the group. 😄

Between the Brewers fans and Cardinals fans, there was plenty of friendly competition throughout the day, but in the end, the Brewers came out on top with the win. 🍻

It was a great opportunity to step away from the office, enjoy some sunshine, baseball, good food, and spend time together outside of work. Days like these are a great reminder that strong teams are built both in and out of the workplace.

We’re grateful for such a great team and the relationships we continue to build together.

And for the Cardinals fans… there’s always next time! 😉

For Patrice, summer is all about slowing down and enjoying the simple moments that make Wisconsin summers so special. Whether it’s grilling up dinner by the lake, relaxing outside with family and friends, or soaking in those late sunsets that seem to last forever, it’s her favorite way to recharge after a busy season.

Life has a way of moving quickly, and certain changes, whether expected or not, can affect your health insurance coverage in ways that aren't always obvious at the moment.

Some life events trigger a Special Enrollment Period, a 60-day window before or after the event during which you can enroll in or update your coverage outside the standard Open Enrollment Period. If any of the following have happened in your household over the past year, it may be worth a conversation:

🔵Getting married, divorced, or welcoming a new child into your family
🔵Moving to a new ZIP code, county, or state
🔵Turning 26 and coming off a parent's plan, or losing job-based coverage
🔵Changes in your income or household size
🔵Turning 65 and becoming eligible for Medicare, or becoming a U.S. citizen
