Ron Legnion - A life well lived
Today we are saddened to share the passing of our friend, mentor, and founding advisor, Ron Legnion.
Ron started this business in 1988 when he opened the first Edward Jones office in Beaumont. He later moved to the independent side with Raymond James, again becoming the first in the area to do so. Ron was a true visionary and pioneered the idea of partnering with local CPA firms to better serve clients, working together to provide coordinated tax and investment guidance for their clients. Over time, that partnership grew as Joshua Cavett, Angie White, and Ellen Reynard joined as advisors and partners.
What began as Ron’s vision grew into the firm we have today, NewEdge Advisors, Lone Star Partners. Our partnership expanded over the years and now manages more than $1.3 billion in assets for the families we serve.
None of this would have been possible without Ron. He was not only a great advisor, but a wonderful person and mentor to many. Anytime someone congratulated him for his success he would always give credit to his partners, incredible staff, and ultimately to his Lord and savior Jesus Christ. We are grateful for the foundation he built and will continue to carry forward the legacy he started.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Ron’s family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
For those who would like to read more about Ron’s life, his full obituary is included below.
