A time-honored military tradition that represents far more than a transfer of authority. It is a moment of reflection, gratitude, continuity, and renewed commitment to mission and service.

As a military spouse, attending these ceremonies — whether at the company level or base command level — always brings a flood of emotions. There is a deep sense of awe for the history and sacrifice that have brought us to this moment, and hope for the future that lies ahead. There is gratitude for the generations of service members and military families who have served with courage, resilience, and unwavering dedication.
