Although it isn’t “open enrollment” season, there are other qualifiers! These are called “SEP” or “Special Enrollment Periods”.
Make note : there ARE TIME LIMITS on applying if you do qualify for one of the following:
There are several reasons individuals in Tennessee might enroll in a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) for health insurance, including:

1. Losing existing coverage due to job loss, aging off a parent’s plan, or divorce.
2. Moving to a new area where different health insurance options are available.
3. Gaining a dependent, such as through birth, adoption, or marriage.
4. Experiencing certain life events that impact eligibility for Marketplace coverage, such as changes in income or household size.
5. Qualifying for Medicaid or CHIP.
6. Becoming eligible for COBRA coverage.
7. Losing eligibility for other coverage, such as employer-sponsored insurance, TRICARE, or Medicare.
These are some common reasons, but eligibility criteria and reasons for enrolling in a SEP can vary based on individual circumstances and the specific health insurance marketplace regulations. Feel free to reach out if you have questions!
