Congratulations to all the area youth that showed an animal at the Huron Community Fair! Our staff enjoyed watching all the hard work be displayed and celebrated. Bay Port State Bank was happy to purchase 14 animals at the JLA auction and 3 animals at the SLA auction. Help us congratulate these youth members on their great showmanship and sale of their animals!!!

Reminder to ALL area youth that participated in the sale of a fair animal, you are eligible for our special fair CD rate of 6.10% APY! This special rate is for a 6 month CD term, requires a $500 minimum deposit, funds must come from auction check and additional funds may not be added unless under the $500 minimum deposit. Penalty may be imposed for early withdrawal. 6.10% APY accurate as of 8/28/2026 and valid through 12/15/2026. Annual Percentage Yield (APY) assumes interest compounded daily remains on deposit until maturity. Call your local Bay Port State Bank branch in either Bay Port, Pigeon, Bad Axe, and Sebewaing with any questions or come in to open an account.

The Huron Community Fair is on the horizon. At Bay Port State Bank, we proudly support, sponsor, and volunteer at several events during the fun filled week, but we want to highlight our staff's favorite part of the fair, THE ANIMALS!!! Getting to see the area youth highlight all their hard work at each show is an absolute treat. With several staff members being past showmen themselves (or proud parents of showmen), we understand the dedication it takes to bring an animal to the fair.

Each year we do our best to appreciate that effort by buying several animals at both the JLA and SLA sales! Last year we made 15 purchases at the JLA sale and 4 purchases at the SLA sale!!! Although we wish we could do more, we do offer a special CD rate to ANYONE who participates in the sale of a fair animal. Bring your fair proceeds into any office of Bay Port State Bank following the conclusion of the fair to open your fair CD. Find a BPSB staff member throughout the week and feel free to introduce us to your animal and ask what our rate is. We look forward to seeing everyone in the coming weeks!
