Marissa is one of our Personal Lines Customer Service Representative, helping our clients protect what matters most and providing a friendly, dependable person to turn to for support.

Born and raised in Bay City, Marissa chose SIG for the opportunity to grow, build relationships, and help her community. She loves being part of a team with such a strong connection to the people we serve! 💚

Outside the office, Marissa enjoys making memories with her two daughters, spending time with friends, reading, and cheering on her oldest at sporting events and plays. Whether it’s a Lions or Red Wings game, family football, or her daughter’s soccer and volleyball games, she loves supporting her favorites! She’s also perfectly happy with no plans and a relaxing day at home. 😊

🌟 TEAM SPOTLIGHT: AMANDA DIETZEL 🌟

Meet Amanda, our Operations Manager, or as she calls it, “Juggler of Many Hats!” 🎩

Amanda joined SIG in July 2015 as a receptionist in our Standish office. Over the past 11 years, she has grown into her leadership role, bringing loyalty, support, and a knack for solving problems to our team.

Becoming a licensed insurance agent wasn’t originally on her radar, but what started as a career change became a passion for helping people find coverage that fits their individual needs. Amanda knows insurance isn’t one size fits all. She enjoys helping clients understand their coverages, limits, and how their policies protect them.

Her approach reflects our mission: We protect people and businesses by owning risk and advocating claims. And when asked what makes SIG special, her answer was simple: “There is an amazing team here.” 💙

Originally from Prescott, Amanda now calls Bay City home. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her close-knit family and her cuddly Basset Hound, Arlo. She also loves reading, movies, puzzles, diamond painting, and tackling the never-ending job of weeding her garden! 🌱 She gives back as a member of the Bay City Rotary Satellite Club and loves being an aunt.

🪂 Fun fact: Amanda describes herself as quiet and shy, but she was a cheerleader, performed in school plays, and even went skydiving a few years ago. Her verdict? It was amazing!

Meet Katie Norton, a Commercial and Personal Lines Agent who helps individuals, families, and business owners protect what matters most! She also offers Farm, Life, Bonds, and Employee Benefits.

Katie joined SIG in November 2021, bringing a background in healthcare and healthcare management. Helping people has always been at the heart of her work, and insurance offered a new way to make a difference. When she met with Paul Wiese about making a career change, she knew SIG was where she wanted to be!

Starting in Personal Lines, Katie has expanded into Commercial Lines, continuing to grow her knowledge and the ways she can support her clients. Her favorite part? Educating clients so they understand their coverage and how it helps protect them.

That commitment reflects our mission at SIG: We protect people and businesses by owning risk and advocating claims.

🏕️ Outside the office, Katie loves camping with her husband and their two boys, Braxton and Hudson. Spring, summer, or fall, they go whenever they get the chance! Their family also includes Charlie, a goldendoodle. Katie grew up in Bay City and now calls Midland home.

👻🎃 BOO’d at work! 🎃👻

Today we did a Secret Boo Basket Exchange at the office and it was SO much fun! 10 of us participated, secretly picked names, and put together Halloween goodies for each other. 🧡🖤

Lots of laughs, fun surprises, and maybe a little too many treats. 😂🍬

We love finding simple ways to have some fun together at work and make memories outside of the everyday grind.

🌟 TEAM SPOTLIGHT: PAUL MEYER 🌟

Meet Paul Meyer, our Commercial Lines Account Manager and a member of the SIG team since July 2021!

Originally from Cheektowaga, New York, just outside Buffalo, Paul has called Michigan home since 2013. He brings decades of service industry management experience to his role, along with a passion for helping business owners understand their coverage and feel confident about protecting what they’ve built.

Paul’s insurance career began with Aflac. When the opportunity to join SIG came along, he was excited to build on his relationships with business owners and help them protect their businesses through Commercial Lines insurance.

What does he find most rewarding? Helping clients make informed decisions about their coverage and supporting them through a claim when they need it most. Paul puts our mission into action: We protect people and businesses by owning risk and advocating claims.

Outside the office, Paul enjoys home improvement projects, target shooting, spending time with his wife, Kathy, and keeping up with their four dogs and one cat! He has two adult daughters and enjoys life on 20 acres in Shepherd, Michigan.

💻 Fun fact: Paul and Kathy met through America Online in 1995/1996, long before dating apps became popular! They’ll celebrate 30 years of marriage in 2027. ❤️

Reid joined our team a few months ago and has already become a valued part of SIG. Born and raised in Auburn, he graduated from Bay City Western High School and Northwood University.

Reid helps individuals, families, and business owners navigate their insurance options across Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, Farm, Life, Bonds, and Employee Benefits. He chose a career in insurance because he enjoys working with people, building lasting relationships, and helping clients feel confident in the coverage they choose.

Reid chose SIG for the opportunity to learn and grow alongside a strong local team. He was especially drawn to being part of an independent agency, where he can work with multiple carriers to find options that fit each client’s needs.
