Congratulations to Officers Nathan Dufort and Justin Cain on their graduation from the Police Academy. Best wishes to both as they move forward to their field training.

Please help us in congratulating Officer Nathan Dufort and Officer Justin Cain on graduating from the 118th Delta Police Academy. Officer Dufort and Officer Cain will begin their field training next week. They will be a great addition to our department and the Township.

On Wednesday, April 28, 2026, Public Safety Officer Michael Anderson was awarded Employee of the Quarter for the 1st Quarter of 2026. PSO Anderson has been with the Bay City Department of Public Safety since 2023 and is assigned to the Patrol Operations Division.

Fire Chief – Michael Galloner
Chief Michael Galloner began his career as a paid-on-call firefighter in 1992 and became a full-time firefighter in 1995. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2005, Captain in 2007, and Fire Chief in December 2022. His certifications include: Firefighter I & II, Fire Officer I, II & III, EMT-Basic, Fire Inspector I, Fire Instructor I, HAZMAT Technician, and Safety Officer.
Outside of work he enjoys hunting and fishing. Mike has been married to his wife Michelle for 32 years, and they share three children.

Assistant Chief / Fire Marshal – Andrew Tennant

Assistant Chief and Fire Marshal Andrew Tennant began his firefighting career with Bangor Township in 2010 as a paid-on-call firefighter. He became full-time in 2013, was promoted to Captain in April 2022, and advanced to Fire Marshal / Assistant Chief in 2024.
His certifications include: Firefighter I & II, Fire Officer I–III, Hazardous Materials Operations, Confined Space Rescue Technician, Trench Rescue Operations, Rope Rescue Technician, Technical Search Specialist, Certified Fire Investigator, Certified Fire Inspector, Fire Instructor I, Paramedic, Paramedic Instructor Coordinator, and ICS 100–400, 700 & 800. He is also a member of both the Bay County and Region 3 Technical Rescue Teams. Andrew enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and video games. He and his wife have a nine-year-old daughter, and they are foster parents. His wife enjoys gardening and reading, and their daughter enjoys soccer, reading, and Minecraft.
