Sheri and Roopa were excited to attend and represent The Kory Agency at the ribbon cutting for McLaren’s new Center for Orthopedics and Rehabilitation in Bay City!
We’re proud to see continued investment in our community and expanded healthcare services right here in Bay City. 🏥💙 The newly renovated facility now has nine patient rooms, in-house X-ray services, and on-site physical and occupational therapy, patients can access more of the care they need close to home.

Congratulations to McLaren on this incredible project! We’re excited to see the positive impact it will have on patients and families throughout our region.

📚 Back-to-school season is here!

It's that time of year when shopping carts fill up with notebooks, pencils, backpacks, and new shoes. Some kids are heading back to familiar classrooms, while others are preparing for a brand-new school, a new teacher, or even a new town.

For many children—and let's be honest, parents and grandparents too—back-to-school brings a mix of excitement, nervousness, anticipation, and maybe even a little dread. That's all part of the adventure.

Whether you're helping label school supplies, packing lunches, taking those first-day photos, or offering a reassuring hug before the bus arrives, your encouragement makes all the difference.

💙 Help Us Support Brayden! 💙

One of our Kory Agency family members is asking for a little help for her son, 16-year-old Brayden, who was born without the lower portion of his left arm.

Brayden is an incredible young man who hasn’t let that define him. He’s a member of his school's robotics team and hopes to pursue a career in computer programming and/or criminal justice. Now, he has the opportunity to receive a Hero Arm, a robotic arm with a moving hand and fingers that could make a meaningful difference in his everyday life. 🦾

Unfortunately, insurance doesn’t cover the full cost, and additional therapy and travel for fitting will also be needed. His family has started a GoFundMe to help make this possible.

👉 The Kory Agency is proud to help! In addition to sharing Brayden’s fundraiser, we’re holding a returnable can & bottle drive at our office. Clients and friends can drop off their returnables, and 100% of the proceeds from our collection will go toward helping Brayden reach his goal.

Late summer brings an abundance of juicy blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries, making this simple dessert the perfect way to celebrate summer's harvest.

🫐 Mixed Berry Crisp 🫐
For the Filling:

2 cups (each) fresh blueberries, blackberries, raspberries
2 peaches, peeled and sliced (optional)
⅓ cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon cinnamon

For the Crumble Topping:

1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
¾ cup packed brown sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup cold butter, cut into cubes

Directions

1) Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

2) In a large bowl, gently combine the berries, peaches (if using), sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, vanilla, and cinnamon. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.

3) In another bowl, combine the oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in the cold butter with a pastry cutter or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the fruit.

4) Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the berry filling is bubbling around the edges.

Serve warm with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of freshly whipped cream.

Last Thursday, Sheri and Landen, joined the Leadership Bay County Class of 2026 for the ribbon cutting celebrating their class project!

The newly expanded Clements Family Playground provides a safe, accessible space for little ones ages 0–3. 🛝💙

We love seeing local leaders come together to support Bay County families and make a lasting impact in our community. At The Kory Agency we love being part of our community by showing up, supporting local organizations, and celebrating the people making Bay County a better place. We’re proud to be part of it!
