When it’s just too much...

James Taylor sang, “You’ve got a friend...” Sometimes, you just need a friend for advice. You don’t want to be sold anything, but you do want to know what is really going on with your finances, your estate planning, a bank loan, life insurance...so “you’ve got a friend,” a financial buddy, to walk you through finding the answers.

I have over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. More importantly, I have personal experience as a trustee for my mother’s estate, resolving the financial and personal mess after my husband’s death, creating, opening and then having to close a business due to unscrupulous associates. I get it--I understand the “why” behind the “what” we need to do to ensure our own financial stability, our professional integrity, keep a business intact, and keep a family from emotional and financial turmoil in a crisis.

My experience also encompasses discovering the “Money Stories” we tell ourselves--some of these money stories are passed down from generation to generation. Phrases like, “We can’t afford that...” “Maybe I don’t know what I’m doing...” “This is too hard...” “ I’m making a mess of my finances...” “I’m no good with money...” Many of these stories we heard growing up, and now replay in our heads. Even our DNA can be encoded with stories of loss and failure passed down through generations.
