We are celebrating 20 years in business Friday July 25th with an open house at our Battle Ground office (616 E Main St) from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. Come by for an ice cream sundae and/or cake, a chance to win door prizes, and to help us celebrate 20 years in the community.

With the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, there is quite a bit of new tax law to go through. As we wait for the IRS to come out with how this Act is to be applied, we will post information here. To start, here are a few of items to consider:
1. The limit on the itemized deduction for taxes goes from $10,000 to $40,000. Property taxes is the easy deduction to find, but if you purchase a new vehicle, do some property improvements, or build a house, the sales tax can be added.
2. There is a new deduction for auto loan interest on new vehicles (with final assembly in the US). Note this will phase out if your modified adjusted gross income exceeds $200,000 (MFJ).
3. Child tax credits increase from $2,000 to $2,200.

A new thing for WA state taxes. If you qualify for a federal Earned Income Credit, you may qualify for a WA Working Families Tax Credit. Don't miss this benefit!

Individuals and families may receive up to $1,200 back if they meet certain eligibility requirements. Applications open February 1, 2023.
