🔨 The Dawes Drive Transformation Begins. This is the BEFORE.

This is what I saw when most buyers would have kept scrolling. Wood paneling floor to ceiling. Original 1970s kitchen. Two bathrooms that haven’t been touched in decades. And a main house that’s only 3 bedrooms.

But here’s what I also saw 👇

✅ Kitchen — completely reimagined
✅ Bathrooms — all three updated

🏠 I CLOSED TODAY! And I am coming HOME!

I was born in Baton Rouge. Katrina took us to Mississippi. Life took me to Missouri. And in 2020 I moved back to Louisiana and have been renting an apartment ever since — waiting for the right moment.

Today was that moment. 🙏

705 Dawes Drive, Denham Springs. A property with a pool, a detached ADU, and a story that made me emotional at the closing table. The seller — Miss Donna Campbell — is an absolute gem. Her late husband Stan was one of the most beloved guitar players in Louisiana, teaching lessons from this very house through the 90s and early 2000s. I am honored to be the next chapter of this home’s story.

I used a 203K Limited loan to purchase this home AND finance the renovations — one loan, one closing. I’m converting it to a 4BR/3BA and the ADU becomes The Dawes Cottage, an Airbnb that helps pay my mortgage. I did this for myself the same way I do it for my clients every day.

People think renovation financing is complicated or out of reach. It’s not. And I’m going to prove it by documenting this entire journey.
