Have you ever had your credit pulled and all the sudden you're receiving offers for credit from 15 companies? This is due to the credit bureaus selling your information. If you want to head them off before a credit pull you can opt out. I like to do this for my clients so they aren't bombarded with offers after they apply. This will prevent credit bureaus from selling your info for 5 years.
