2. 3 months BEFORE you turn 65, your initial enrollment period begins.
3. During the month you turn 65, Medicare eligibility starts for most people.
4. 3 months AFTER you turn 65, your initial enrollment period ends. Missing it without credible coverage can trigger penalties.
5. You've completed the full 7-month enrollment period.
