April was busy for V. Graham! We kicked the month off with a team-building day at our Baton Rouge office, where we trained, shared experiences, and took part in activities that strengthened collaboration and communication and brought plenty of laughs. We wrapped up the day with a crawfish boil, a great time, and even better company.

Later in the month, our leader, Vanessa Graham, spoke to the US Financial Executive Group in Lafayette on how and what we are seeing with the use of AI amongst our clients and the market in general. The group had great dialogue on the various uses of AI platforms and how their usage has improved their work.

The month closed with Thrive Foundation’s 2nd Annual “A Day on the Green” golf tournament, benefiting Thrive Academy, a public boarding school dedicated to transforming the lives of students in our local community. Thrive is a long-term client and friend of V. Graham and we were proud to support them as well as their PR firm, Nura, a new client and friend of the V. Graham team.

Team Update: Welcoming Jason Head to V. Graham
V. Graham LLC is pleased to welcome Jason Head as the newest Consultant on our team. Jason brings over seven years of accounting experience, with a strong background in budgeting, forecasting, payroll, month-end close, and financial statement preparation. Prior to joining VGraham, he served as an Accountant at C.H. Fenstermaker & Associates, where he played a key role in supporting close processes, budgeting, forecasting, and improving internal systems for greater efficiency.
Jason earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is known for his analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong command of financial systems and Excel.

Last week, Vanessa Graham, had the privilege of hosting a LEG roundtable with an incredible group of leaders from South Louisiana at V Graham’s office in Baton Rouge.

It was a valuable time spent learning from one another, exchanging insights, and discussing growth phases and strategies. Conversations like these are a powerful reminder of the impact collaboration and shared experiences can have on both personal and organizational growth.

Grateful for the opportunity to connect, learn, and grow together.

Team Update: Welcoming Chris Close to V. Graham

V. Graham LLC is pleased to welcome Chris Close as the newest Director on our team. Chris brings 20+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, and strategic planning across complex organizations, along with hands-on small business experience. He most recently served as VP of Finance and SBU Finance Director at APTIM, where he partnered with executive leadership to drive budgeting, financial strategy, and performance reporting.

Throughout his career, Chris has led initiatives focused on profitability improvement, reporting transparency, and operational efficiency, while supporting strategic decision-making and strengthening financial processes. He previously held senior finance roles at Chicago Bridge & Iron and The Shaw Group.

Chris is a licensed CPA in Louisiana and holds an MBA from LSU and a Bachelor’s degree from Tulane University. Originally from England, he grew up in New Orleans and now lives in Baton Rouge, where he enjoys time with his family and staying active with his teenage son.

Vanessa, a LABI board member, had the privilege of playing the round with LABI Board Chairman, Tom Cox, Founder & Executive Chairman of Golfballs.com and their leadership team. It was a great time celebrating LABI's 50 years and supporting its mission to advance the state's economic competitiveness and opportunities.
