During Men’s Health Week, we encourage men of all ages to prioritize their health, including their vision health.

Regular eye exams can help detect vision changes and underlying health conditions early, often before symptoms appear. Taking small steps toward preventive care can make a lasting difference in overall well-being and quality of life.

At BRREB, we’re proud to support the gift of sight through donation, transplantation, and vision awareness. This week serves as an important reminder to care for your health, encourage loved ones to do the same, and make wellness a priority.

Today on International Albinism Awareness Day, we recognize and support individuals with albinism while helping raise awareness about the importance of vision health, accessibility, and inclusion.

Many people with albinism experience visual impairments that can impact everyday life, making access to eye care, resources, and support especially important.

At the BRREB, we believe everyone deserves compassionate care, understanding, and the opportunity to live life with confidence and dignity. Together, we can help create a more informed, inclusive, and supportive community for all.

This and National Making Life Beautiful Day, we’re looking back on the incredible volunteers, supporters, and community members who have helped make our mission possible over the years. 💙

Through their compassion, dedication, and service, they’ve helped spread awareness, support donor families, and bring hope to those receiving the gift of sight.

Every act of kindness helps make life a little more beautiful and we are so grateful for the many people who continue to support the Eye Bank and the lives we serve.

Some friendships truly change your life. 💙💚

This Best Friends Day, we’re celebrating Tiffany and Nora, whose bond became even stronger through the gift of living donation.

Tiffany (left in photo) was diagnosed with a rare liver disease in high school that progressed in severity over the years until her medical team suggested that a living liver transplant was her best option. Tiffany posted her story to social media and a family friend, Nora, messaged saying she was interested in being evaluated as a living donor. They were a match! In September of 2025, Tiffany and Nora had their surgeries. They both had complications but today are doing well. 💙💚

“Here we are in 2026...I am able to see another birthday. I am forever grateful to my donor, my ‘Organ Buddy.’ We have gotten so close through this whole process. It seems we’re more like family. It has also made me look at life through a different lens. The transplant process puts into perspective what matters, what doesn't, what's in your control and what needs to be released.” — Tiffany

Today we celebrate friendship, resilience, and the life-changing power of donation. 💚

This World Environment Day, we’re reminded to appreciate the beauty in the everyday moments nature allows us to experience.

The gift of sight helps people reconnect with the world in meaningful ways, and we are grateful to the donors and donor families who help make those moments possible every day.

Together, we can continue working toward a healthier, brighter future for our communities and our planet. 🌎

On , we honor the individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Corporal Benjamin S. Kopp, a member of the 75th Army Ranger Regiment, saved six of his comrades when his unit came under attack in Afghanistan. He was mortally wounded and saved four more lives back in the United States through his selfless gift of organ donation. To honor Corporal Kopp and all other brave soldiers who became organ, eye and tissue donors, the Fallen Soldier statue stands at the National Donor Memorial and honors members of our military who made organ, eye, and tissue donation their last courageous act of service. The site is a place of peace for all who wish to honor the gift of life! 💙💚
