Took the evening to check out the ships docked along the riverfront, and honestly… go see them if you haven’t. The masts lit up against the night sky, the energy on the water, the whole city alive — this is why there’s nowhere else like Louisiana.

Turns out the most sophisticated dining establishment in the entire Mediterranean is named MARANTO.

White-washed walls. Gold lettering. A palm tree in the logo. Greek cuisine overlooking the Aegean Sea.

Honestly? They just knew.

Today we lay to rest one of the most beautiful souls to ever grace this earth — Ms. Coochie Landry. 💛

There aren’t enough words to capture the sweetness of this incredible lady. The kind of woman whose smile could light up a whole room and whose love wrapped around everyone lucky enough to know her.

My heart is heavy for the entire Landry family — especially Mr. Alton, her beloved husband of 64 years. That kind of love is rare, and it’s a true reflection of the woman she was. It’s also been an honor to know her wonderful children and dear friends, who carry her light forward in everything they do.

Rest easy, beautiful lady. Heaven gained one of its sweetest angels today, and I have no doubt the pearly gates opened a little wider to welcome you home. 🕊️
