A tradeline is basically a credit account that appears on your credit report. It could be something like a credit card, auto loan, or other line of credit.
When I talk about adding a tradeline, it usually means getting added to an existing credit account with good history. When that account reports on your credit, it can help strengthen your credit profile by showing positive payment history, higher credit limits, and longer credit age.
For someone who is new to credit or doesn’t know much about tradelines, the main goal is to help:
• Increase your credit score
• Build positive credit history
• Improve approval chances for loans, apartments, or credit cards
