The most expensive car insurance in Louisiana is usually the cheapest one on paper.

When I was in college, heavy rain in Baton Rouge hydrolocked my Dodge Neon's engine. $4,000 car, still in great shape, totaled overnight. Insurance paid nothing because I only had liability.

Nobody told me that comprehensive coverage would have covered this. Or that it's one of the cheapest coverages on an auto policy.
