ESIP Webinar - Reputation Management

As fire and EMS providers, we freely give our own time and risk our lives to benefit our communities. We must remember our organization has been granted public trust and is relied on by our community. That trust needs to be maintained by us. We should be mindful of how we portray ourselves as public servants and consider the images of our organization and our membership projects in how we speak.

As responders, we can lose sight of the fact that we represent our communities and to be seen as supporting everyone in the community. In this session, we will explore this special relationship with the trust the public gives us and remind ourselves that a little "customer service" and understanding our community can go a long way toward maintaining a healthy emergency services organization.

Last week, Bill Porche and Michael Olinde had the opportunity to attend the 2026 Annual Louisiana Department of Insurance Conference in New Orleans.

One of the key parts of this conference was the panel lineup of Insurance Commissioners from across the south that discussed issues and changes within their respective state.
