Wow! It's not everyday that the government lending agency that backs the Rural Development program asks for the public's input. If you ever ran into delays on closing waiting for the Loan Note Guarantee to be issued, here's your chance to speak up.

Docket RHS-21-SFH-0017 proposes a rule to allow private sector lenders to leverage their own processing power to issue Loan Note Guarantees without Agency involvement. In plain English that means we may no longer have to worry about the 2nd USDA underwrite that often holds up homeowners from getting to close.

If you would like to review the new rule and leave a comment for the Rural Housing Service and let them know you want the 2nd underwrite done away. The link is below and the comment feature is in the top left hand corner.
