The Independence County Farm Bureau Women's Leadership Committee made donations to 5 local elementary schools. Cedar Ridge, Sulphur Rock, West, Southside, and Midland were all presented with $100 for classroom supplies and $100 to buy food for their backpack programs. Helen Williams presented all of the donations on behalf of the Independence County Farm Bureau Women's Leadership Committee.

The Independence County Farm Bureau Women's Leadership has had a lot going on the last month. They have helped judge the Independence County 4-H Dairy Foods Contest, dropped off coloring packets at the ER, showed support for the kids at the livestock shows, and taught kids how to make rice custard and ways to use rice.

The Independence County Farm Bureau office will be closed Monday, May 25, 2026, for Memorial Day.

The Independence County Farm Bureau Women's Leadership Committee put together ag activity packets to leave with the White River Health Emergency Room staff each month to give to kids in the waiting room. These packets include coloring pages, activity pages, crayons, and items donated by the Arkansas Department of Agriculture.
