Back to school means more than backpacks and busy mornings… it also means more young drivers on the road.

If you have a teen driving to school this year, now is a good time to make sure your auto policy has kept up with your family.

A few things worth checking:
• Is your new driver properly listed on your policy?
• Are they eligible for a good student discount?
• Has their primary vehicle changed?
• Are your liability limits still where you want them?

A quick insurance check now can help prevent an unwelcome surprise later.

Have a new driver in the family this school year? Send us a message or give us a call and let’s make sure you’re covered.

Headed off to college? Here’s an insurance checklist every parent should review before move-in day:

✔️ Auto Insurance – Will your student be taking a vehicle to campus? Make sure your policy reflects where the vehicle will be primarily located.

✔️ Renters Insurance – If they’re living in an apartment or off-campus housing, their belongings may not be covered the way you think. A renters policy can help protect electronics, furniture, clothing, and more.

✔️ Life Insurance – Many young adults can qualify for affordable coverage while they’re healthy, helping protect their future insurability.

✔️ Update Contact Information – Make sure we have your student’s current address and phone number in case you ever need assistance.

A few minutes reviewing your coverage now can help prevent surprises later.

If you have questions about your family’s coverage before move-in day, we’re happy to help.

If you only do one thing to protect yourself this month, make it this.

Most people think insurance starts after something goes wrong.

In reality, being prepared before a loss can make the claims process much easier.

Take a few minutes today to snap these five photos:
✅ The front of your home
✅ Each room in your house
✅ Valuable electronics and appliances
✅ Serial numbers on major items (TVs, tools, appliances, etc.)
✅ Jewelry, collectibles, or other high-value belongings
Store the photos somewhere safe, like cloud storage or an external drive.

You’ll hope you never need them—but if you do, you’ll be glad you have them.

Questions about protecting your home or making sure your coverage fits your needs? We’re always here to help.

As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, let’s make sure the only thing lighting up the night is the fireworks—not a trip to the emergency room or a call to us!

🎇 Fireworks Safety Checklist:
• Attend a professional fireworks show whenever possible (instead of making your own show).
• Keep children and pets a safe distance away.
• Never allow young children to handle fireworks.
• Light one firework at a time and step back quickly.
• Keep a bucket of water or garden hose nearby.
• Never relight a “dud” firework.
• Stay away from dry grass, brush, and other flammable materials.
• Soak used fireworks in water before throwing them away.
• Never use fireworks while impaired by alcohol or drugs.

Wishing you a safe, memorable Independence Day as we celebrate 250 years of freedom, family, and community. Have a wonderful Fourth of July! ❤️🤍💙
