Matthew Knippa has been a successful business owner, consultant, and is a United States Army veteran. In the Persian Gulf, Matthew served in Operation Desert Storm. Serving his country in a foreign land, Matthew was recognized for his ability to remain calm and level headed in the most stressful of circumstances, live fire combat.
Through his refreshing attitude and unwavering ability to get the job done, he earned a reputation of excellence with his commanding officers. A funny story about Matthew and these traits mentioned above………”A real live combat situation can change a person. In the course of this Operation, the commanding officers saw a deflation in the combat soldiers moral. The solution became the organization a time for R&R.
Each unit was evaluated, and soldiers with lower moral were selected to enjoy 3 days at a Resort in Saudi Arabia. It was unanimous that Matthew received more than his fair share of mail & care packages “every day” from family & friends and that his smile was worn pretty regular to keep his comrades together. No, Matthew did not get this coveted trip to the Resort for R&R. No matter, he kept singing “Amazing Grace”, neck deep in his fox hole.
