November 1st-December 10th
(for a January 1st start date)
Open Enrollment runs through January 15th for a Feb 1 start date
Please carefully read the following IMPORTANT information if you have individual health insurance on the marketplace.
(If you do not, please disregard)
It's that time of year to choose your 2026 Marketplace Health Insurance Plan for Open Enrollment. We want to thank you for allowing us to help you out with your insurance needs and we are looking forward to taking care of you and your family in the upcoming year!
I'm not going to sugar-coat it, plans/prices for next year are the worst I have seen in my 10+ years of doing this. They aren't impossible, though and there are still decent options. With the government shutdown, subsidies have gone down and prices have gone up as well as deductibles and maximum out-of-pockets. We have solutions for you to help you for next year, though! We have our work cut out for us this year to make sure we take care of everyone in the best way we can, so your patience is greatly appreciated.
Here at Wealth and Health Benefits+ we process our Marketplace Open Enrollments from November 1st - December 10th. We also process applications and send out the re-shops on a first come-first serve basis. This means that if you are happy with the coverage and you do not have any changes, let us know as soon as possible to get your re-shop email.
We have already reached out through email, phone call, and text message to every client we have before November 1st to ask if you have any changes and did this from the number 901-258-5977, so if you ignored or didn't respond to this text and we haven't heard from you, you will not be getting a re-shop email until we are done with the others that have responded.
You can update us on your changes for 2026 by sending us an email or text telling us "no changes are needed". As long as your current plan is available for next year you can be re-enrolled.
You can expect to receive an email from us with the following information included:
-Your current estimated income
-The renewal plan (your current plan if available)
-The next best plan with the same carrier
-The next best plan with a different carrier
If you want other options, you will need to set an appointment on calendly.
We will need a consent letter on file in order to help you with your plan. When we resubmit your plan, Healthsherpa(the platform we use to help you find and apply for a plan) will automatically send these out from noreply@healthsherpa. Please take a moment to sign it.
We are submitting all applications leading up to the "choose plan" until we hear from you so that we are ready for submission and can get them all in on time.
It is very important that we have updated information so if any of the following has changed you will need to update it in Healthsherpa, and let us know.
Income amount- If this has changed by more than $5,000 for the year, we need to update this in the system. Remember that your plan is a great price because you are getting what is called a "subsidy". This is based on the estimated income for the current year. If we don't estimate your income correctly, you may owe money on taxes, so we have to be very careful how much we estimate. We will be sending you what we currently have on your application.
Dependents- If you have any new dependents that need to be added or removed. If you have adult children that are no longer able to be covered, we are able to help them, get their own plan.
Personal information- If you have changed your address, phone number or any other personal information we need to make sure this gets changed in the system as well.
To update your information on Healthsherpa you will need to go to: HealthSherpa | Fast, Easy ACA Enrollment. If you need help doing this please see this document to show you how to access your account and change information.
You can also set up an appointment to talk to someone on our team by clicking HERE, or you can call or text 901-258-5977.
Just as a reminder, while we will help you re-shop as needed, we do NOT process cancellations. It is your responsibility to cancel your policy on HealthSherpa or by calling the marketplace at 1-800-318-2596 and verify that it was canceled with the insurance company on whatever date you need it to cancel.
We look forward to serving you in the upcoming year! Cortney is licensed in 25 states (AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, KS, KY, ME, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, OK, OH, TN, TX, UT, VA).
