It is easy to postpone uncomfortable conversations when everything appears to be going well.

But wisdom often asks us to prepare while we still have time, options, and the ability to make thoughtful decisions.

That does not mean living in fear.

It means recognizing that the people, responsibilities, and resources in our care matter.

We trust God with what we cannot control.

And we seek wisdom for what He has given us the responsibility to manage.

Preparation will never remove every uncertainty from life.

But it can help prevent an already difficult season from becoming even heavier for the people we love.

When people think about life insurance, they often think only about replacing a paycheck.

That is important—but it is not the entire conversation.

A family may also need to consider:

• Final expenses
• The time a surviving spouse may need to adjust

The right amount of protection is not based on a random number or what someone else purchased.

When I look at my wife, I do not just see the woman I love. I see someone God has entrusted me to love, serve, protect, and build a life with.

That responsibility is bigger than paying bills and making sure everything is handled today. It also means being willing to have honest conversations about what could happen tomorrow if life did not go according to our plans.

That is what changed the way I look at life insurance.

To me, it is not simply a policy or another monthly expense. It is an act of stewardship. It is making sure the people we love are not left trying to carry both grief and financial uncertainty at the same time.
