Big news for people that need insulin.  Even though the price for insulin already dropped dramatically a couple years ago for people with a good prescription drug plan from Medicare. Reducing the retail cost will make it far less likely that people on insulin will reach the coverage gap, otherwise known as the donut hole. This is excellent news and I’m sure that other companies will follow.

The drugmaker Eli Lilly is cutting prices for its insulin and capping costs at $35 per month, the company said Wednesday.
